Opticoelectron SWIRECON 12.5 is already on sale

The only company in Eastern Europe and in particular Bulgaria – Opticoelectron has already released for sale its latest SWIR lens series product – SWIRECON 12.5.

As it is well-known, already in 2013, the company was one of the first in the world that has managed to develop working SWIR lens prototype.

The new product will be sold worldwide, as the first ordered SWIRECON 12.5 items were tested in a laboratory and exported.

“In the past years, we have invested several million euros in production capacities on the territory of our industrial park. We continually improve the quality of each of our products, including SWIR technology lenses. SWIRECON 12.5 is one of the best quality products in the international markets and we believe that it will have a real success “

During the past years, SWIR products have gained their popularity in the military industry. The clear and detailed image in night conditions and the capability to see through fog, sea haze, window or car window make them more than a compulsory military accessory.

Except for military purposes, this technology also has application in our everyday life. They are part of the world future and can be in favor to mankind in areas such as medicine, product manufacturing and post-product control, agriculture, mining and Earth exploration, astronomy, etc.

Patria Plc new position and appointments in the Board of Management

Finnish Patria Plc will expand its Board of Management with three new positions – Chief Business Development Officer, who will be in charge of the the implementation of the strategy, President of Land business unit and President of Systems business unit, also.

For President of Land unit and a member of the Board of Management, has been nominated Teemu Raitis, 41. He will start in his new position at the beginning of January 2019 at least. His previous experience was as CEO of Epec Oy, which is subsidiary of Finnish manufacturer Ponsse. He also was a Managing Director of Ponsse’s unit in Brazil, and he worked in various positions in the Swedish engineering company Sandvik in Finland, Australia and in Chile, as well. Raitis has large experience in multinational business, product line marketing, service management and managing international sales. He has Master degrees in Economics and in Electrical Engineering.

The current President of Systems business unit, Pasi Niinikoski, 57, has been appointed as group level Chief Business Development Officer. For his wide and long professional experience in business responsibility, Patria supports his new position, with responsibility for the development and implementation of the strategy. He will start in it at the beginning of November 2018.

As a new President of Systems business unit, who will start in the beginning of November, has been nominated Jonas Geust, 48. He has long experience in business unit responsibilities in various companies, in several countries and in running startup companies in the field of technology industry. For more than 15 years, Geust has been working in various management positions within sourcing, logistics and quality functions for Nokia. He has been responsible for product portfolio of N-Series of Nokia globally. Prior to his appointment for Nokia, Geust was Rightware CEO who has been leading the turnaround of the company into an industry leader in the car industry. He possesses Bachelor degree in Engineering and in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen.

The three newly appointed will report in their positions to President and CEO of Patria Group, Olli Isotalo, who says

“It is great to get new people in the Board of Management of Patria to develop our business further and to create an even more international group. These appointments combined with the other Management Team members’ knowledge and know-how, is a strong basis to continue developing Patria even further.”
